Can better material combinations make intrusive items easier to live with?
Whilst looking at getting a new video doorbell, I noticed the influx of cameras that are pitched towards use inside of peoples home. One thing caught my eye. They were all white with a black centre! Nothing bright, nothing other than matt/soft touch white plastic with a highlighted black centre.
But does it need to be that way? Would people pay more for something that feels less obtrusive? who knows but I wanted to design something that I think people wouldn’t actually mind on the side! So welcome to my ceramic camera designs, simple designs, focusing on using better materials over complex design details.
