Soft modelling helping soft goods integration
With an increasing integration of between soft goods, and plastic hard goods, there is an increasing need to effectively model soft goods to allow designers to explore CMF without expensive rounds of prototyping.
Blender + Factory CAD
This process isn’t limited to cad created in house, I can take cad created in factories and create the soft goods around. This can help provide a more Holistic CMF design.
This approach can provide a ability to test CMF options that would be both risky and costly to protoype.
Test fabric textures before prototyping
The cad created is clean enough we can use displacement within the redner program to test textures, this is significantly faster than creating surface cad. These textures can be changed in minuets, and created just as quickly. Somthing that would take days of CAD time to do with traditional methods.
